What would you consider to be more attractive-luster and sparkle on smooth, wrinkle free skin, or a noninvasive facelift that will firm, lift and moisturize? In a way, one could say that Distinction by Leigh Valentine and Aloette Lumitone want to do the same thing for aging skin. But the thing is they claim to reach the endpoint by addressing what they each think are the most important by products of facial skin with age. And their marketing strategies are different, too.
Aloette Lumitone claims to tone and bring back the luster and luminescence of aging skin with an aloe vera base and Lumitone HP which helps aging skin to capture the light in one’s skin. Ingredients include alpha-arbutin which is known for its skin lightening effects, and other botanicals, plant products, anti-oxidants, and natural ingredients. This product also does not test its products on animals. This company was ranked by Forbes Magazine as one of America’s Top 200 Small Companies”. An Aloepure basics kit costs US $85.00.
On the other hand, Distinction by Leigh Valentine claims to work like a nonsurgical facelift, with an effect on the eye lines that would equal what one would have with Botox, but without the injections. The facial kit is described as a special system that will lubricate, moisturize, stimulate blood circulation, and clarify the skin. All this, but on the downside, the kit which contains a range of products, does not include the product ingredients. However, Distinction by Leigh Valentine also does not conduct experiments of its products on animals. Leigh Valentine banks largely on her work experience as a beauty consultant for top makeup firms, a beauty queen, and PR consultant for Ronald Reagan. However on the down side she does not list down the ingredients of her products, and this could be concerning for people who may have allergies. A five piece kit from Distinction costs US $59.98.
So which product is better? Price wise, Distinction is cheaper at US $59.98 for five products, compared to Aloette Lumitone kit at US $85 for four products, with its fifth product being a satin drawstring bag to keep the products in. Here’s the deal, wrinkles and skin aging is a part of real life, and many women do not want to undergo surgery or even Botox to look better. If I was one of those women with such inclination, and I had money to spare, I would probably place my money on Aloette Lumitone. Somehow all this talk of non surgical facelift and Botox without injection claims by Distinction does not sit as well with me as the use of natural and organic materials in the making of Aloette. Also, the Forbes listing sounds good. Enough women have tried it to buy it again and again. Plus, they have a complete listing of all their ingredients.
